Games, computers, cell phones and television seem to be conquering young minds that would truly benefit from investing more time in reading books.  As an educator, I am fully aware that I am in competition with the media and it's hype. Therefore, it is my belief that getting students vested in reading is going to involve serious planning and creativity on my part.

At this time, it is imperative that students are introduced to high interest reading materials that not only spark an interest but arouse curiosity in such a way that they  are pages are turning everyday.
