The Battles of Lexington and Concord
Introduction
April 1775, tensions were high between the 13 colonies and the British Empire. For the past two years the colonists had been unfairly treated by the British Empire. They had cried out against the various taxations: Sugar, Stamps, and Tea. Crying out saying, "Taxation without representation!" In Fall of 1775 prominent colonists gathered for the First Continental Congress to petition to get the British empire to repeal the acts and restore friendly relations. Their efforts were in vain. In April 1775 a few major events changed the history of America forever.
