Students will research online sites to locate several different holiday traditions from cultures other than their own. They will utilize a graphic organizer to record information. For the final project, students will create a visual project(poster, brochure, etc.) to present their favorite tradition to the class.

What, specifically, do you like about them? (besides getting presents, of course !)
Do you like getting your tree? Writing a letter to Santa? Making cookies with your mom? Think about some of the traditions you enjoy in your family? Why do you like them? What makes them special? Do you celebrate in a way that is different from your friends or neighbors?
Do you know where the traditions you enjoy come from, where they originated? On this webquest, you might be able to find out where your favorite tradition originated. You will also explore other cultures to find out about traditions that are new to you!
